Omurice has a unique soy sauce taste but it was wonderfully delicious. Salmon salad is also recommended.

A Western restaurant in Higashi Chaya. It seems to be popular with foreigners. The menu is written in both Japanese and English.A Western restaurant that is doing its job. And delicious

Food were actually superb just like the reviews we were looking at. The Beef were well cooked that it were still very juicy but the marinate was soaked into the meat and makes it so delicious. All the food we ordered were super yummy. Staffs are nice. English menu available and staffs speak English very well. Portions are decent. We are very happy after we left the restaurant. It gets crowded eventually so you might need to wait a bit before you got a seat.

Place is small inside but people go in and out quickly (order is taken while you're waiting for a seat). Food is yummy at decent price. Would reccomend!

Friendly welcome, some tables are on tatami, others at the counter. The dishes are a little original but overall very good. I particularly recommend curry with Tonkatsu. The curry is very sweet for those who do not like spicy curry. Reasonable prices as always in Japan.

Out of all the restaurants in the Higashi area, this one is where locals are most likely to go to. It's got an open kitchen, an English menu and nice staff. Go there for a more authentic local experience at a good price. Other restaurants in the area have higher places, Higashi doesn't offer other similarly priced venues.

Amazing beef and rice set! Simple and authentic. Recommanded.

Cheap lunch, Japanese-style seating area, sore feet after eating

This is the best crispy pork steak I’ve ever eaten !

The food here is just great. Kind of like japanese western fusion food. Love every dish we have ordered. Great atmosphere. Great staff. Definitely will visit again.

I had fun. I came at around 3 PM. Wasn't crowded, the lady at the reception was nice, nobody bothered me or stared too much considering I'm a gaijin using an onsen for the first time. Also when you enter they have all the general onsen rules posted in English which is great.

Omuraise is delicious anyway and it is visited many times.Although I am going to see a variety of delicious menus, I end up eating only omelet rice after all. It's a unique soy sauce-based taste, you can enjoy just watching the chef's making.

Delicious small restaurant to visit while in the Higayashi Chaya district. The beef dishes are exceptional and the beer crisp and fresh.

Good food and a nice atmosphere! As people have mentioned before, the beef dishes are amazing but also reasonably priced. If you get a dish with vegetables, it will come with a lot of them.

Came here in a typhoon day, but the inside is warm. Right after we took a seat a cup of ice tea and a pair of hot towel were served. The staff noticed that we don’t speak Japanese and immediately gave us an English menu. The service here is very well and makes you feel comfortable. Both Japanese style food and western style food are served here. There’re various options and ultimately we pick the beef katsudon and omurice. The beef of the beef katsudon is very juicy and the sauce perfectly marinate the beef and the rice. The omurice is quite special since inside of the fried egg is some kinds of soy sauce fried rice, tastes also very well.

The dish is OK!Service is average! The seats are not ideal... Our legs are almost broken after eating a meal... there is no place to put your feet!Tourists are hard to adapt!

Very nice food, friendly staff with English menu, the food was delivered quickly and the price was good. I had the omurice and my boyfriend the grilled garlic chicken and both were delicious.

Ordered the beef rice set(和牛定食), the meat's portion is not very much but very tasty!! The rice is also good. There are bar seats with chairs or tables where you have to kneel or sit cross-legged.

Kind of a Japanese-style diner. Food and service are excellent. They offer an English menu.

The wait queue was eternal, but once you're inside, you get really good food. Seeving size is large and delicious, which is why I think the prices are more than fair.

Delicious meals. We had the plain salad and the pork loin steak on rice with egg sauce and both were very tasty. The salad was very good and well presented but cost 770 Yen, so a little more on the expensive side however it's located in a very popular and touristy part of town so it is to be expected. We found it to be one of the only restaurants in the area to be open past 5pm actually.

We were looking for an authentic restaurant where locals would go and we found it. Luckily there were not many people, well technically there were only us and another couple which are local visitors. Good place to have a quick bite...

Tasty Japanese food at reasonable prices. Beef was good. My daughter enjoyed the sauteed pork so much that we order 2 more portions! Highly recommended!

The taste was generally delicious overall, but the crab cream croquette is too deep-fried, right? There was only a burnt taste.I put it in at the very first round after 11 o'clock, but since the inside is not wide, I need to be prepared to wait.

Amazing food. Great price. 10/10

Very good Japanese comfort food at reasonable prices in a touristy area; highly recommend

Western food store in Higashi Chaya area. I ate the omelet rice in the photo, but actually this omelet rice, rice is soy sauce base (with beef and pork)! Soy sauce Rice and egg compatibility was outstanding, the volume was satisfying (^ ^) It was very tasty ~

Very nice place, decently priced. Don't expect the best food in the world, but good value meals. Be prepared to eat whilst kneeling.

It is a well-established Western food shop in the middle of Higashi Chaya-cho, a sightseeing spot. Old fashioned beef bowl with vegetables, plenty of soy sauce flavored omelet rice. Even though it's crowded, attentive attention is indeed a famous shop.

At the restaurant next to the Higashi Chaya district, we had a menu called old katsudon, which contains cucumbers and cabbage instead of eggs and a sauce. It was refreshing and delicious.
